Yellowsands

Wamberal beach house

house with tree.JPG

Yellowsands is 5 minutes walk to Wamberal Beach.  It accommodates 8 people in 4 bedrooms.

This early Californian bungalow is pretty much unchanged since it was built a century ago.

The large fireplace warms the house in winter and sea breezes keep you cool in summer.  People appreciate the history and unique architecture.

It isn't a resort - no TV, no dishwasher, no air conditioner, no ensuites. Bring your own sheets and towels and enjoy another world.

Living Spaces

Living spaces

Generations of visitors have gathered in the window-seat to gaze at the ocean, play cards, read and drink tea or wine.

The dining room table comfortably seats 10 for family meals.

It is good to sit in front of the open fire in winter.  Kids like to play in the garden or the central courtyard.

The northern and easterly verandas are shady in summer and warm in winter.  You can read a book, check the surf conditions or just watch the birds.  There are both sunny and shady spots to relax in the garden.

Bedrooms

Bedrooms

Yellowsands can accomodate up to 8 people in 4 bedrooms:

The main bedroom

The double bedroom onto the eastern veranda

The yellow twin bedroom

The smaller double bedroom.

The main bedroom is large, breezy and has an ocean view.   The eastern bedroom is smaller, but has its own veranda.  Three bedrooms open onto the northerly veranda.  Doonas and pillows are provided, but you will need to bring your own bed linen.

There are lots of beds but there is only one bathroom and two toilets.
